A quick reference guide to help you get settled in Charlotte County - utilities, homestead exemption, boat ramps, and beaches.

Utilities

Water & sewer service (Charlotte County Utilities): 941-764-4300, or 800-524-3494 toll-free. Electricity: primarily Florida Power & Light (FPL); a small co-op also serves parts of the county. Trash & recycling: Waste Management (WM).

Homestead Exemption

File between January 1 and March 1 with the Charlotte County Property Appraiser at ccappraiser.com.

Boat Ramps

El Jobean Boat Ramp. Port Charlotte Beach Park boat ramp (4500 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte). Ainger Creek Park.

Beaches

Port Charlotte Beach Park (boardwalk and boat access). Englewood Beach at Chadwick Park (900-foot dune boardwalk). Stump Pass Beach State Park (southern tip of Manasota Key).

Parking Note

Beach and boat-ramp parking fees ($0.75/hour, $53.50/year annual decal) are currently suspended county-wide per a Charlotte County notice, so there is no charge at this time - check the county website for current status since this could change.
